This is one of three panels that depict young village girls from Burma. This girl is from Bagan, a tranquil plain scattered with thousands of earth coloured pagodas and stupas. The young girl is carrying a bowl of food to her home, trekking along a beach littered with sprigs of grass amongst the sand. The grass flows out from her, signifying the gentleness of the Burmese people.
